Just borrowed from the library. Can't wait to dive into these books! I'll have to create time for these beauties. I couldn't resist, they were calling my name so loudly, and my TBR is still side-eyeing me but I'm getting used to that😂.

So, @what.the.teacher_reads suggested I give audiobooks another shot since it's been so hard to squeeze reading time into my days lately. And guess what? I was totally surprised by how much I enjoyed listening to A Woman Is No Man during my commute!

The narration was on another level-different voices, real emotion, even accents. I could actually feel the characters' anger, hesitation, or sadness, and I could picture their facial expressions just from the tone. That takes serious talent!

It was such a different experience compared to the audiobooks I tried before. But… as I was listening, I kept wishing I had the physical copy in my hands. My thoughts still tend to wander when I’m just listening, but when I’m holding a book in my hands, I feel more grounded in the story—more there. There’s just something about flipping pages that keeps me fully immersed.

At home, I love reading in bed or sitting on the reclining chair in the living room, when everyone is sleeping, with a cozy blanket and a cup of tea.

One of my dreams is to have a reading nook when we get a bigger house, with a cozy chair and a snack drawer. So at least all my books will be in one place.

⭐⭐⭐.5/5. I was so excited when this book fin

⭐⭐⭐.5/5. I was so excited when this book finally became available on Libby… but that excitement didn’t last long. Let’s just say things went downhill fast.

Here’s the setup: Jasmine and Stephanie are both traveling from Madison to Denver. Jasmine is fleeing a toxic relationship. Stephanie’s on a work trip. They don’t know each other—but a few days after the flight, they both go missing. Their families start receiving texts saying they’ve met the same man… fallen in love… and now he’s trying to kill them. Creepy, right?

The first part? I was hooked. The tension, the mystery—I was all in.
The rest? Not so much.

3 things I learned from this book:
🙅🏾‍♀️Don’t overshare with strangers.
🔐Always use the hotel chain lock.
🤞🏾Be careful what you wish for (seriously).

The second and third parts really dragged, and the big twist at the end felt kind of…far-fetched. One character’s transformation especially didn’t sit right with me. Like, how do you go from victim to full-blown psycho overnight? Also, some characters, especially those involved in these 2 women's lives, just suddenly vanished from the story. I kept wondering—what happened to them? How did they react after the truth came out? I wanted to like this one, but it just didn’t land.

I mean it was the same question, the exact same design that I created using Canva. I was kind of pissed. I mean my post of hers (or her post of mine) got more engagement than mine, of course it did!
